A little late, I know…

December 15, 2008

… but still better than never, here are the next 8 cards. The delay is caused by me being offline at home at the moment, because (surprisingly) my new phone company didn’t manage to properly connect me at time and I’m still waiting for them to do so for now. Thus I’m misusing my workplace at the moment for this post, so I’ll make it quick. This time the 8 anime shows are produced by 7 different studios. I tried to sort them theme-wise, but just plain failed for the second-half. I thought about adding Air and Lucky Star to make those 4 cards completely KyoAni based, but in the end it was more important to me to add those two other series instead, although or rather because their are rather underdogs compared to the KyoAni series.

Third Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Season Announced

RenaThe official blog for the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni franchise on the Japanese Animate.tv website has announced that a third season has been greenlit for production. The blog entry says that no details have been decided, but it also says that people can look forward to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni in 2008. A live-action film had been previously announced for 2008.

The first anime series based on the murder mystery visual novel software aired in Japan in 2006, and Geneon Entertainment released part of the series in North America in 2007 before it ceased in-house production and distribution of anime. The second season premiered in Japan in July, although its final episodes were preempted or cancelled on several stations in the aftermath of real-life assaults.

What the heck? Thought this would be over after this season, but hey, count me in!

New Haruhi Suzumiya Anime Series Details Revealed

YukiThe official Japanese website for The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya television anime series has announced further details about the franchise‘s next anime project. In the spirit of the first anime series and the Haruhi Suzumiya science fiction comedy light novels that spawned the franchise, the announcement was made in a roundabout, cryptic manner.

On Tuesday, the site “disappeared” and began displaying a false error message that read, “The page cannot be found.” A second message then appears over the first message; it states that a computer program is starting up and prompts the user for a password. If the user enters “K,” “N,” “S,” “A,” and “K” (the initials of the family names of the members of SOS brigade, the main characters in the series) into the password fields and selects the radio button to the right, a fake xterm terminal session opens. A series of messages from “YUKI.N” confirms that the key to the “emergency escape program” has been found and asks for a final confirmation before starting the program. If the user hits the enter key, a new page opens that shows the character Yuki and lists the production credits of the new series.

Well, they are messing with us again. I wish they would finally start with the new season, but the ride sure is fun. A detailed translation of the haruhi.tv website can be found here.

Haruhi supports peace!

December 18, 2006

Interesting because it is (most likely) no fake:

Haruhi stands for peace!

Found on Kurogane’s Anime Blog, who links to the original news article, to the original Animesuki forum post and to the original picture.

P.S.: The picture is taken from a protest which took place after three palestinian kids were killed by gunmen in Gaza. Read more about it here. The red writing says: Stop murdering the children.

My Wallpapers 04

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu

This is one of my few self-made wallpapers. It’s just a rescaled screenshot from Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu which I liked very much (some screenshots do this to me). The green (and Haruhi) is very relaxing and I like it when my wallpapers are relatively free on their left side (because my icons lurk there).
