Zero no Tsukaima

Yes, exactly, Zero no Tsukaima gets a third season:

Third Zero no Tsukaima TV Anime Series Announced

A flyer inserted into newly published books from MF Busho J, the light novel imprint owned by the production company Media Factory, has announced that a third television anime series has been greenlit for the Zero no Tsukaima fantasy comedy franchise. The announcement was made in conjunction with the 13th volume of the light novels, which are written by Noboru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Eiji Usatsuka. The 13th volume, Seikoku no World Door, will be released on December 20.

I hope they make up for the mediocre second season and it’s more than cheesy ending.

  1. I can’t help but feel that Zero no Tsukaima has had more sequels than it strictly deserves. Still, a decent effort by the production team and they might be able to make more of it than the first two seasons.

  2. The sad thing is that the novels are quite good (as far as I know). Looks like thay somehow lost it in the translation to an anime.

  3. Yeah, I’ve read the first one in fanlation and it’s no worse than your average fantasy romance novel (as a literature student I’m inclined to add ‘which isn’t saying much’, but I’m aware that not everything should be judged with the same measures).

The third episode of the first series was probably the best of all of them. Genuinely funny, if a little silly.

  4. Surely didn’t expected some Shakespear. *g*
From what I heard (again) the later ones become more serious and darker (and thus for some better I guess).
