Second Season confirmed for…

Left in even more despair

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei! Good news I say… or better guess, because I still haven’t finished the first season. The release of the fansubs is rather slow at the moment. I really like what I’ve seen so far though.

Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei manga will have a second season in Japan. The high school comedy centers around a pathologically depressed teacher who somehow finds the will to deal with a class of oddball students. The first 12 episodes ran from July to September of this year on Chiba TV and other stations, and the second season is planned for the beginning of 2008. Ten volumes of the manga, which began in 2005, are currently in print. Source: Ultimatum

  1. Excellent news! Although I’ve only seen the first half of the first series, it’s one of the best anime comedies I’ve ever seen. More despair is welcome! 🙂

  2. I can think of at least one good thing that will come out of the fansub delay. By the time the first season ends, the next one won’t be too long in coming.

  3. Even with this (solely) good point the delay still leaves me in despair.
