My Wallpapers 15

I really like the thick-dark atmosphere Noir creates with it’s two (non-psycho) killers in the lead role. It takes some episode until this series gets really interesting, but from that point on it’s a great ride. At some times the girls seem to be a bit too invincible and the enemies are a bit too incompetent, but that is only a small flaw for an otherwise quite fabulous anime with a great soundtrack.

  1. Just randomly, that song occurs also in the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou, which is a (fantastically funny) retelling of the Odyssey… in the American south, c. 1920, starring several black ex-convicts who become radio stars. 😛 If you’ve never seen the movie, you should rent it, if only for the soundtrack, which consists of a number of traditional songs like this one.

…yeah. Great wallpaper, btw! I found your site through a search of Elfen Lied/Klimt, and if you don’t mind, I’m going to cite you as a source (you spared me several hours of research) in a paper I’m writing on the opening sequence of Elfen Lied. If you’re not okay with this, just let me know via email. Thanks!
