Hail to the king, baby!
Well, the story might not be Shakespeare, but for me it’s good enough for this kind of anime. But again the animation dropped significant after the break for the second half of the episode. And I don’t mean the cheap ways to show different emotions on anime character faces:
It’s more the way the characters are so much deformed that they are hardly recognizable. The time I saw this in the preview:
I thought a new girl would appear and was a bit confused because I concluded from the title that whoever new would appear had to be Feena’s fiancee. Little did I know that this was only Natsuki. The real fiancee turns out to be this nice guy, Jurgen Kruger, or how I think he is written: Jürgen Krüger, because he seems supposed to be German:
They really spare no effort to make this little fella as unlikeable as possible. He is a racist, thinks low of women, is arrogant, boastful and overbearing and certainly even worser than shown in this episode. He has oh so much of a zero chance to be on the winning side in the end. He even lied about Feena’s way of fighting:
That wasn’t quiet powerful even for a girl! It was just crappy. Okay, I don’t know anything about kendo, granted, but there must be more than strait forward slashes to hit the enemy. This way even I could have managed to defeat Feena…
Hey! Behind you! There is an UFO!
Really, what the hell was that supposed to be? Might be again one of the funny spacecrafts that belong to Wreath’s organisation, who by the way is again back to her short appearances.
Well, at least now she got company, even if it’s only in her head. A nice surprise by the way was that Natsuki seems to be not in love with Tatsuya, she is honestly rooting for his relationship with Feena. To celebrate this here is a nice screencap of her:
And while where are at screencaps, this one here is just to show that Midori is still alive, but only as comic relief:
This is posted because I wonder what Feena has in her drink there. It can’t really be a drinking straw, or could it?
And this one is posted just because I feel like I have to post it:
Okay, that’s it, next episode will be the power-up episode for Tatsuya so he can learn in a few days how to beat someone in kendo who took years to learn and master it. Would be fun if he gets beaten anyway.
