News on Neon Genesis Evangelion Rebuilded

October 25, 2006

Awwww, how peacefulAs Danny from Novastorm already posted yesterday and I didn’t noticed that day (D’oh!) there are some news about the new NGE Project on the Anime News Service site (yay!):

10-19-06 (9:29AM EDT)—- World Exclusive: Rebuild Of Evangelion Updates

Tonight we met up with Evangelion Producer Toshimichi Ootsuki in Akihabara. According to Ootsuki-san the “contents” for the “1st part” of the new Rebuild Of Evangelion movies is now complete. The animation staff is also very close to being fully assembled. Building on past hints (the cover image of the October, 2006 issue of Newtype Magazine) Kaworu Nagisa and Rei Ayanami will be central characters in this new story. The theme of the “first part” movie will feature the characters in a school setting prior to the arrival of the angels.

To say it again: Yay!

  1. I’m excited too! I had always been upset about NGE not having some kind of follow-up, and even if these movies are complete remakes (even though they ARE meant to contain new material) I’ll still be more than happy to watch them.

  2. Yeah, at first I was suspicious of this Rebuild, but now I’ll just enjoy the ride.

  3. Didn’t know that evangelion is getting some remake I am looking forward to this (^^). Is there anymore info to this besides the links u have?

  4. I made a previous post about the first announcement of the Rebuild Project:
That’s pretty much everything I know about it.

  5. wow… is it really true?

  6. I’m pretty sure.

  7. i im veay happy to see that there is going to be new movies
